Re: getting off my back foot
made about straightening the back knee have worked better for me than anything. Where as I had thought straightening the knee would push my back foot down and out weight it more makes the back leg konger oushing my back hip forwards and getting my hips over the ski. Sort of another way to square the hips but easier to think. You know its gone right when the back leg doesnt quivver walking back off the dock.
Re: California ProAm live stream - Starting Friday 9/14
Just want to add that this was a home made webcast. The folks in NorCal are working to understand how to use lower budget off the shelf gear to put on the webcast ourselves. Ourselves essentially means George Canepa who has worked really hard to figure this out. I bet next year he has all the bugs worked out and it will be easier to put out a great webcast. If we can do the webcast ourselves it allows the prior budget to be diverted back into the purse for the skiers.

Re: Distance From Center - Episode 8
Couple Big Dawg comments
Water was 70s and air was 50s, not 50 degree water
Wind was for real. Strong cross that sometimes went tail. Became a feature of the event but not enough to prevent plenty of 39s from going down
In the final pair Jeff had a legit tail wind at 39 and only managed
Todd had an opportunity but could only tie Jeff. Then they both went back out completing 38 Tail. Jeff then ran 39 in the headwind and Todd couldn’t quite finish it out.
has been crushing 39 at home and now proving he can do it in big events. We will see more of him
Also cool to see Casey Contos going deep 39 in the final. I am sure we will see him into 41 next year. Great to see some young blood
Nautique emphatically confirmed there will be a series next year with dates and locations being discusssed now.
The Smith family and friends are great hosts. I hope we get to go back!
California ProAm is this weekend at Bell Acqua lake 2. Hope a lot of people can make it out for the weekend.
Here is the link to the webcast:
Hopefully a great weekend of skiing.

Re: action pro night jump
Action sports really hit it out of the park. The shore was packed with spectators on there feet all night long as the night jump did not disappoint great evening.
Re: Prostar Zero Off is freaking out
Late update, but Mastercraft took care of me. Those guys are great. I love this boat, and when my 14 sells, will be getting another. It’s an absolute shame that my local dealer is no longer a Mastercraft dealer because, based on their service, I’d be buying my next one from them.
Re: DD when Buying on Private Ski Lake
No 2 lakes are the same and they all have some sort of drama. People buy property on ski lakes for a variety of reasons that may or may not align with your reasons for being there. Some may want to get rid of the jump because only 1 or 2 use it and it gets in the way of their wakesurfing, others may prefer not having tournaments, etc. Some may age out and quit skiing. If that happens to too many of your neighbors, it can be difficult to get them to pony up the funds when things need to happen.
A few years ago a pro skier that did a lot of traveling clinics commented that the ski lakes that held the original owners vision of a 3-event tournament friendly lake the best were those with a single owner that made all the decisions and ran the lake as a club, but even those situations can come and go - i.e. Cottonwood.
