I have heard squeezing the butt cheeks to bring the hips up. When are you suppose to squeeze, crossing the wake, pre-turn or turn?

Pre - turn you should squeeze your elbows against the sides of your vest until you initiate your reach and make your turn. Then it's butt-cheeks, elbows, repeat. The butt cheek thing is a ShaneH special and it does work, as you can not squeeze your butt cheeks with your hips behind you - just seems off to think about when running the course

Frankly I think you should keep the cheeks squooze all the way to the turn.

There is only one position on the ski -- skiing position. You should be in that position whether you are riding on the whitewash, leaning, in the pre turn, post turn, whatever. This would tend to support what @Chef23 says.

Make sure you have TITS UP if you're not squeezing your butt cheeks.

I used to think i've skied well if my abs are sore the next day. Now I guess I know my A$$ should be sore too.
