Lots of buzz out there around various 2016 skis (Mapple, Radar, Connelly, etc.), but I haven't heard much as to what D3 has in the hopper for slalom.

Any insights?

Obviously for trick there is the the Aira, which @EHorton95 reviewed.

No doubt! All the companies are undertaking R&D and testing all the time. The cycle never stops. Just haven't heard much about what D3 is up to for this coming year.

I didn't think D3 changed their skis every year like Radar and HO. Rather changed them when they need changing/have something new and better to bring along.

Gotta be tough to be a ski retailer with a 1 year product life cycle. D3 sells fewer skis than some, but it's got to be better than having 3 different models representing 3 different years sitting in your shelf. And only one of them are you making money on. That's how golf killed it's mom and pop retail market. Just sucks that there is no other high end ski market. You're not gonna see big box sport retailers carting any decent skis.

The speech I have gotten from D3 is that they release new products when the product is ready not dependent on the calendar.

Don't get me wrong, we've seen some major changes in the past couple years. It's the price of progression

According to the way their current top ski is working for Nate not sure a change is needed. Better to not rush it - even for little thing like the location of the inserts.

Honestly, I can't see how Nate is performing can have much to do with the product cycle. I'm not saying this is the case with Nate, but a lot of pro skiers are skis that are either considerably modified or are prototypes for the next ski due to come out.

Look at how, Regina is skiing...Goode still brought out a new ski.
