Is there anyway to install a hot water shower on the MasterCraft ilmore 6.2(6000 GDI)?

    @Horton, what engine do you have in yours? The one person I talked to at the dealer said he did not think there was a factory option...wondering about after market options. IN Utah I need a hot water shower to extend my season another month in the late fall and early spring.

    @scotchipman I have the 5.7. Here at sea level we don't need the bigger engine or the hot water shower. OK there is a hot water shower on my dock :)

    Does your 6.2 have closed or semi-closed cooling(engine cooled with anti-freeze or raw water)? I would contact skidim.com about a heatercraft.com kit. I have only installed them on open cooling systems, but have heard they can work on closed systems.

    @Rpc29, I did a few days ago...no response.

    @vtjc I don't own the boat yet, looking at buying. I have been told the ilmore 6.2 is closed with anti-freeze, did not see any options for a different 6.2.

    I thought it would be a closed system. The marinizer websites always lacking on detail, regardless if its Ilmor, PCM or Indmar. A closed system would be nice for our northern climate as well, less worrying about freezing a block during the shoulder seasons. Good luck finding a system for the shower. I have heard heaters work better, particularly at idle, with closed systems.

    Mastercraft web site says the GDI design engines are 100% closed cooling.

    @scotchipman What year is the boat? Closed cooling on the 6.2 for 2017 and 2018.

    You need a warm water source, in closed cooling that would be somewhere at the exhaust manifolds, issue there is water is not under pressure for inlet side of pump.

    An option: water heater

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you just run the heater-core hose from the cooling system heat-exchanger?
