Fin/ Binding Setup Help

Hello Everybody,

I'm new here and would like some help setting up my new '08 Prophecy.

The problem I have is that the ski feels really tippy out of the turn. In other words, it feels like the I will go out of the front if I ski like I normally do.

These are the current settings.

67" ski with draft bindings

Bindings 28"
Tips .60"
Length 7.0"
Depth 2.59"

I rode the ski once and think it will be great once I can dial it in a little more.

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

Wow, are you out of wack. Try:
    6.864 tips
These were my last numbers from a 2014 68” Prophecy. They may not be perfect for your ski but you’ll be in the right neighborhood. Make sure you have someone that is experienced setting up a ski check your work.

    Thy your binder at 29 3/8. I ran 29 1/2 on th 68.

FYI, “tips” is a manner of measuring (using the tips of the caliper, as opposed to the bottom or “jaws”), not a measurement. You use tips or jaws to measure fin length, and you need to know which someone else uses to be able to use the data yourself. What you call “tips” is actually “dft” or “distance from tail.”

The old F1 settings are a good solid place to start. @lpskier's settings are pretty close to those
