How far do you travel to your lake?

jordanhjordanh Posts: 24 Baller
I'm currently 100 miles from the lake that I have my camper at, on a seasonal spot. I'm relocating to a different city and will now be 200 miles from my camper. The bonus is that now my wife and I will have 4 day work weeks so we will be able to enjoy 3 day weekends. Just curious to see what you guys travel , and how you feel about the distance.

150 ft from the house to the lake. I have skied for 35 years and discovered private ski lakes early on, finally bought a lot on a new development 15 years ago and moved to the lake 10 years ago. After finally getting to the lake, I don't know what took me so long to pull the trigger.

Maybe a "who drives the farthest" thread would have been more fitting.

I'm in the 100' club but that's only to the boat, 12 minute boat ride to the course on a public lake. The next private ski site is 2+ hours away.

about 35-40 mins drive from my house to the lake where I store the boat 50 weeks a year. ~7 hour drive (600 kms) to the BC cabin I rent for a few weeks each summer

    Ski club.
    With no traffic 15 minuters.
    Normally 25 minutes.
    Worst 1 hour.
20% of the time it is not skiable due to wind and waves.
Life is too short not to enjoy every day!

~50 miles. 45-90 minutes depending on traffic & construction. In Michigan, there's always construction.

For @RAWSki and I, about 980 feet the short way, 1125 feet the scenic route, helps getting the blood flowing before skiing B)

Generally about an hour to my regular lake. 45 minutes to another lake I ski from time to time. It depends on who invites me as I'm a ski boat mooch. ;-)
