We have been getting photo updates and it is still a meter higher than 2017 and 2018 which were relatively normal average years. It seems to be dropping 2" a day so we have pushed out arrival date by 4 or 5 days where it should be acceptable and about 2' lower than today. The boat launches in Chase are both now open and the neighbours' boats are on buoys. Your comment about debris is the sign of caution.
    Have you skied yet?

If you are near Mt. Vernon, IN then you might contact the Timber lake ski club. Great people and hold tournaments. I don't know if they take outside members, so call them. Try Debbie Schmitt, 561-221-3327 Paducah is also an option.

Water Getting In Cylinders: I re-powered a 2007 X-1 this past winter and for the first few hours the boat ran well. Then water got in the cylinders. New 5.7 motor from Michigan Motorz. I had fresh Air Exhaust (FAE) on previous motor and kept it on this one. Initially the front 4 cylinders closet to the back of the boat got water. We took the FAE off and tried some flaps from a previous boat and got the water down to being in just the front 1 cylinder. We think the right flaps might fix this. Seems weird to me you could suck up water with all the exhaust pushing out. We did replace the manifolds first because we had used the old ones but it kept happening only taking off the FAE seems to be improving the situation. We did install closed cooling on this motor. Any other idea other than the correct fitting flaps to keep water from getting sucked up to cylinders at least that is what we think is happening.

The lake level is very high this year but is finally starting to go down. There was a very big snow pack in the mountains and then the runoff began very late this year. That meant that the runoff occurred under longer and hotter days so each day the runoff came fast and the lake rose faster than in any other year that I know of. The level rose to the cusp of being of being at flood level and then stalled. Then, in a very unusual turn of events, the water level hovered at that level for at least 3 weeks. Usually, when it gets up that high it backs right off but not this year. It would drop a couple inches then rise 3, then drop a couple then rise a few for about 3 or 4 cycles. There will be lots of driftwood on the lake and almost no beach with the levels as high as they are. As far as temperature goes, the water is not soupy, that's for sure but I've heard it's okay for swimming. The temperatures reported on ShuswapLakeWatch.com are generally lower than what you find on the lake.

How is the lake level where you are. I am scheduled to come up to Little Shuswap Lake in a couple of weeks but the water level is almost 5 feet higher than the same time last year and the dock is not even in the water yet. LakeWatch says the temp is 14C.
    really?

Hi you run/manage Masterline, correct? I have been trying to contact you regarding an exchange. I emailed on 6/22, 6/25, and did the "formal" exchange process on the website on 7/2, but I haven't heard anything back on any of it. The order # is 1912509. Let me know, thanks! (just FYI, if I delay a bit, I am currently dealing with post-concussion symptoms and have to limit my time on screen).

Hey man, saw your post on BOS. As a BOS reader you get a discount on our website with code BOS10. The vest has proven to be very popular with other skiers looking for a slimline vest that offers good protection, Durability, and floatation.

We did enlarge the arm holes on the latest version also for a little more comfort.

    Just for sizing refernece I am 175-180lbs 33" waist 41" chest and 5'10" I wear a large

Hope that helps and feel free to message or call me anytime for any more information you might need.

    Thankyou

I appreciate you reaching out. I was diagnosed about a month ago and had the tumor removed two weeks ago (my lower back). It was quite large so a big chunk of flesh was removed and I'm going to get the stitches out today. (no skiing for the past two weeks is killing me! :)
There's more tests to follow to make sure it doesn't spread. The dermatologist said something about getting tested every 3mos., so I'm not sure what that entails but hope to find out today.

I was hoping to come south from Vancouver this summer. Sadly with the border closed or opening only with a 14 day quarantine period it looks like it will not be until 2021 to meet with you and Wednesday night crew.
    Have a great ski season!
