radar whitney handle

Brought my 13 year old daughter a nice pink Whitney pink swirl handle. She loves the look of it but has just told me she's finding it slippery. I noticed the grip is very smooth. Has anyone else had this problem and can I rough it up to improve grip

you can rough them with very coarse sandpaper but in my experience that has to be re done fairly often.

What @mwetskier‌ said. Just a little scuff should make a huge difference.

@nzwaterski I have used Mr zogz sex wax on handles the stuff they use on surf boards seems to work but you have to keep using it

I don't understand why radar does that to some of their handles. We used rough sandpaper on a die grinder to rough up a friends handle. Worked pretty well. They obviously know how to make grippy handles because others feel like you have velcro on your gloves and handle.

I bought that handle for my wife........ we sold it shortly after skiing with it........ Just another example of form and function. Too bad it doesn't perform as well as it looks.
