@Chef23 cell phone video is a really bad perspective. It is distorted. I am pretty sure he is actually very high on the boat.

OH WAIT! The LAST pass is -41. The ones before are -39. Ok, THAT makes sense and the angles makes sense for that, as does the lengths of the two sections, which would each be 0.5m. (I couldda sworn the -41 section was supposed to be gray, but maybe I just have that totally wrong.)

@Than_Bogan I would bet a case of hooch the lengths are correct but would not be shocked if the colors were funky.

    Bennett's Lake 2 = magic. Freddy + Lake 2 = magical!

Surprised no one noticed the hair.

@Than_Bogan Watch the first pass. Maybe its his leg action that makes it look like more of a dip than it is, maybe I've been sitting in the 200 for too long.. I dunno, I just noticed it.

@DmaxJC_ski it was the hair (short ponytail) that made me think of Corey. But he skis on a Reflex front & RTP.

There are ropes out there with segment colors that don't follow conventional wisdom. Especially in the shorter segments.

Freddie is so good his rope starts at 39. Since that is "long line" it may as well be black like a standard rope. Second loop is 41 and that's red just like 15 is for the rest of us mortals. While I am sure he will need a 45 loop someday, he has modestly neglected that loop from his practice line until he smashes 43. :-)

Damn good skiing in any case

I think the real story here is the view count on this thread. Well played.

I have seen video of Freddie getting 6 1/2 @ 41 on an 8 ball course. He is the next star in slalom skiing.

Look for a Nate / Freddie battle all summer. Is he eye to eye with Nate yet? Mmmmm maybe that is premature but it will be fun to watch.

Oooo and someone get him a different vest please.

So how does that work? He was with Goode presumably getting sponsor $$s. Do these guys switch for the extra ball or the extra $$s?

Freddy has a lot of angles in his stance and stack (not criticizing, just noting). Not all lined up in a classical stack, but obviously very effective. Gives me some hope.

And before anyone of you think you can use it, "Classical Stack" is already the name of my new band.

I was thinking the same thing. Reminds me of Terry Winter. Really dumb question potentially...is Freddy Terry's little brother?

If that was Terrys brother, at 6' 15" tall, his mom would have some explaining to do! Lol

@Wish most of the pros don't get much money from the ski companies to ride their product particularly Goode. Freddy might not have been getting much more than skis from Goode. One pro told me a few years ago it wasn't enough money to stay on a ski if there was something you skied better on.

If a skier is involved in designing the skis it might be different but I don't think Goode pays much money for sponsorships.

Freddie is the only guy I know of who frequently skis bennetts and puts up those kind of scores. Absolutely sweet skiing. I've skied that boat too, no complaints at all.

I've seen Freddie Winter in London, after not skiing for two weeks, jump in, in winter, in a drysuit and run 10.75 (39) off the dock, first set.!!! And he's a really nice bloke.
