65" Strada for 165lbs?

BungerBunger Posts: 13 Baller
What do any Strada owners (or others) think about a 65" Strada for a 165lbs guy (me)? I ski open water, maybe 30-32mph, full line...

I know the specs say a 66 or even 67 is my weight range, but two sisters will be skiing it also and I am wondering whether I can get away with it...

I think at that speed you might prefer 66 or 67. At 36 mph I loved my 66". And I'm 160 lbs.

    Where/how would I see a differerence?

I rode a 66 at 34mph for a short time and I weigh 145. You may not feel like you are sinking or experiencing a lot drag until you try something longer. It should be much easier.

On which would I feel the sinking/drag - the 65 or the 66?

The longer the ski the more support on the water, faster less drag.

@bunger I have a 65" Lithium Senate for sale on ski-it-again. Never used, in the box, $899. It's a bit wider than the Strada, so should work fine. If interested email me.

I've got a 67" Strada that I'll let go cheap.
