Vapor Carbitex Boa Cable Lacing Break

TJOTJO Posts: 11 Baller
Started skiing on the 2018 Vapor Carbitex boots about a month ago, coming off of RS-1's I've been on for 5 or 6 years. Had Boa laces as tight as they'd go, and upper bungee laces just barely snug. Skied right over 5 ball yesterday and went OTF. However, in the crash, both my front boot and rear boot BOA cables snapped. Furthermore, my liners didn't completely come out of the shell, which has me a little worried. I've never had a problem coming out of the RS-1's. Maybe I had the lower cable laces too tight. Has anyone experienced those cables breaking? I've heard BOA has lifetime warranty on them, so I'm assuming I'll just need to install new cables. If anyone has experience with this let me know.

Ahhh the wonderful Vapor boot conversation again:) yep you either need to keep the laces a little loose or your boots are the wrong size. I have Vapors and had to go a size up to fit right and release correctly. Once I heated them they fit as needed. Hope this helps.

Hey @TJO sounds like you probably don't need the Boa to be that tight. You are correct that Boa is warrantied for life. Email me [email protected] and we'll get you squared away!
