Maybe something else? I had purchased a new Oneil at the end of last season, but it didn't work out

    Neither for me too.
Red O'Neill is now pink which is an indication of a lot of use for a drysuit.
Oasis looks like a surf suit...
    Keep looking!

My ski finish in 16.95 ...but my ass is out of tolerance!

@Keith Menard I have a baggy dry suit that's in great shape but does need the seals replaced.

How cold is your water? I find my Camaro Black Tec works great down to 50 degrees. Below that I put a heater shirt over it down to the low 40s. Have a baggy suit that's been in the closet for 8 years.

@Keith Menard what do you mean by it didn't work out".
  • Keith_MenardKeith_Menard Posts: 764 Mega Baller
@Rednucleus according to the size chart, I was a small. On black friday one of the sites had a sale that made sense to me for what I would pay. Of course, it didn't fit and then the site said I couldn't exchange it as the sale was only on THAT size.

Last year we skied into the 40's. I had a lot of layers of Camaro on :)

A dry suit is one of the things I would nut up for and buy a new one. I bought a used one once and it was never quite right.

Depending on how cold the water gets, I would rather have a baggy with a ton of warm clothes under it than a thin layer of neoprene between me and the cold water.
    “So, how was your weekend?”
“Well, let me see…sun burn, stiff neck, screwed up back, assorted aches and pains….yup, my weekend was great, thanks for asking.”

@75Tique is spot on...as a really cold water skier I can adjust the layers under the baggy to suit conditions (warmer air but still ice cold water like spring, or warmer water cold air like fall). Would also pony up for new. Ya get a warranty (my ONeil started leaking and was replaced no questions asked). JMO

@Jetsetr I hear that, though two years ago we skied on March 12th in SE Wisconsin. First time in 38 years in Wisconsin skiing before Daylight Savings Time. Water temps were upper 30s. Thought I was nuts going into that in the Camaro but was surprised how comfortable (relatively) I was. Hands and feet were another story, but body was largely OK. I just never could get comfortable with the baggy. Too much drag, bulk, binding, etc.

Was wondering how folks have gotten along with the camaro titanium silver wetsuit. I will use it for skiing as well as course maintenance. Course has sub-buoys where a nylon clip attaches and from there it is surgical tubing up to the buoys.

The Wileys is pretty tempting at that price.

@UWSkier No March 12 skiing this year...still a foot or more of ice on the lake...going to be a late start this year in SE WI....

I have been using the same baggy since 1994! Occasional seal maintenance and wax the zipper and I ski all winter. Just adjust layers as temps rise & fall. I use mine ALOT!

The new 2018 O'Neil's run small... but if it's the right size, it's a great suit. I love the neoprene on the top as well as the bottom. I use it until I can switch to a heater top so it get's a lot of use.

Great suit for skiing but just be careful when doing course maintenance as it is very fragile.
