Jr Dev Lesson #1 (Kids Bindings often SUCK! )

Having taught Jr Dev every year for the last 10+ years there are a few things that never seen to change.

At least 1 out of every 10 kids who slalom have TERRIBLE bindings. Usually the problem is the back binding is way way way too far back from the front boot. Sometimes it is the fault of a ski manufacturer and sometimes it is the parents. Regardless of whose fault it is if your kids rear toes are not within an inch of the front boot you are making skiing harder in your child. ¼ inch would be best.

My single biggest pet peeve. Just spent two hours setting up my 5` tall sister in laws new ski. RTP from factory had huge spread since rear holes wouldn't catch factory inserts.

Slotted the plate added another pair of rear inserts and moved.the rubber on the plate.

A universal binding screw pattern with a fixed location for front binding based on factory measurement recommendation.would cure all.
