After all that you think he would have tried to hold on and get through the gates. Amazing pass.

The handle broke coming through the exit gates?

No, he let go and shot it in the boat. The picture is the handle that went into the camera box that was on the floor behind Will Bush. If this would have hit Will in the head it could have killed him. I was the judge in the other boat that Becky was driving. Will was actually driving my boat. The handle hit the ski locker door before busting the camera box.

What if that hit you in the back of the head endcap first.

Wow! I’ve been in the boat when Jeff skied and he is certainly not light on the line but his results are simply amazing. He’s been consistent for the past 30 years. A finer human being can’t be found, very humble and willing to teach anyone. Proud to call Jeff a friend.

So why do we still not use the safety rope nets that were so popular in the 80's Pro Tour Mastercrafts?

Were they using Masterline Optimized ropes? Seems like more strech then usual...

Jeff is the first skier ever to win the BD Final three times. He is a machine and great guy. I could be mistaken but I think he ran 39 every round, so 6 times...if you count the last one. Congrats again Jeff!

@whitem71 my understanding would be that since line was in the water they should have stripped that ball. Hit wakes on slack.

Not the rule on exit gates

    Rodgers is simply amazing!
More evidence to re-examine changing the exit gates as Gordon Rathbun suggested some years back.
Caldwell did the same recently with [email protected](nc) this summer.
Move the exit LHGB back 14m.
Why should a full 6 be more difficult than a full 2 or 4 (or any other buoy)?
Get rid of (1)/(2) under rule 10.12 C; let the rule make sense.
    Improved safety results unquestionably.
