    Also have one. Anyone find a better spring?
  • ZmanZman Posts: 1,732 Mega Baller
    @BraceMaker Maybe cut one from an old ball point pen spring?

    Hardware stores usually have specialty springs.
    Stir vigorously then leave!

    Ya spring steel usually corrodes. I'm using a little plug of urethane rubber

    +1 for Love it. Great little item. Interesting they change the color each year so they know what year each was made.

    Anyone figure out where the washer in kit goes?
  • chrislandychrislandy Posts: 179 Solid Baller
    @C5Quest I presume it goes on the other side of the binding plate where you cut out the slot but don't have the adjuster so the screw doesn't pull through

    @chrislandy is spot on.

    Folks, I’m glad you mentioned the spring corroding. The spring is a stainless steel spring. That shouldn’t happen. Having said that it’s likely the chemical reaction between stainless and aluminum. We will find a new solution. Having said that, I am running an original version from 2014 and haven’t had this issue. Regardless, if there is a better solution we need to find one

    yeah I don't understand people complaining about the spring. The whole system works great.

    Being completely green on the ski/boot adjustment side of the sport I have to ask, is an adjustment of only 1/20th of an inch something you would notice while skiing?
  • SpineofgooSpineofgoo Posts: 117 Baller
    @aspski,depends on your skill level.imo.

    @aspski ... I use Micro-Just on both the front and rear for a very simple reason. The holes in the plate are to far apart and 1/4" adjustments are huge. It's not that your looking to just make a 1/20th inch adjust, but to fine tune the distance between the big factory hole adjustment. Works great !!!

    Special Thanks to Performance Ski and Surf and the Denali Adam's !!!

    @aspski 1/20th is a very fine adjustment. I tend to do 1/10th inch moves. The problem is that most standard binding plates move roughly 3/8 (.375) at a time.

    It’s also very effective at keeping your boot from moving. I was having problems keeping my front boot exactly as set. Standard plate screws were not doing the job. Mikro-just holds it tight. An additional benefit.
