I just returned from a six day snowboard trip. My wife decided to skip this one but I met up with several friends that go to the same resort every year. As I was making the 8 hour drive home I was thinking about how much fun we had even though the conditions weren’t that great. We always seem to end up with several funny stories from each trip. Everyone made it there and back safely (no injuries),which is a blessing in itself. So what is the relevance? Well,I wouldn’t know any of these friends if I hadn’t started skiing tournaments 30+ years ago. Some of the people I have met through skiing have become my closest friends and I have so many great memories because of skiing and these friendships(on and off the water). It may sound cheesy but skiing really has shaped my life and I’m sure many of you have experienced the same thing. I’m thankful for it and I’m especially thankful for the connections.
