I have a friend in this situation... he has a 6.0 indmar cadillac 385hp engine/trans/wiring out of a 2006 Prostar sitting on the shelf. Boat is irreparable but have all the interior, gauges, etc.
What would you do with it? I dream of doing a 90-94 prostar swap. Strip it down and run a 2400 lb boat with 385 hp! 6.2 lb/hp vs a new prostar with the big engine at 7.3 lb/hp
Problem 1: it looks like a zero off swap on a 6.0 is virtually impossible
Problem 2: spray at -35 headwind is apparently intolerable on this generation of 190? I've just scratched the surface of reading about trim tab install to knock down spray vs a bondo "hook" on the bottom of the hull.
