What is a 2C or a 3C Tournament

I looked at Tournament Skiing for Dummies on BOS. I know what "C" means but didn't quite get the meaning of "2" and "3" It said something like "maximum pulls" but does that mean 2 or 3 rounds or UP TO 2 or 3 based on some other variable ?

2C is two rounds of class C. 3C is three rounds. So, the tournament is offering up to that many rounds and that is the number of rounds they have sanctioned to provide.

Maximum pulls is the number of total skiers across all rounds that they can accommodate. So, if the maximum number of pulls is 90 and 30 skiers sign up for three rounds, that is the 90 pulls.
