@Horton what did you do to piss off the announcer?

Don Rickles was on the mic.

Did I miss something, what happen to @Horton in the second round?

    Nevermind, they changed the order.

Only have course end camera (through the smoke) for OW? Not great. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by TWBC.

Hahaha - Exactly my thought - too spoiled by TWBC nowadays.

This event came together late, and doing the best we can with on-site webcast managed by one person, George Canepa. Without George, there would be on line scoring only and no webcast.

Thanks also to Nason, Freddy, Crawford and others for announcing.

All the said, WSBC is a very high standard.

Conditions are perfect other than the smoky air. Scores looking strong this far.

@bishop8950 thanks for doing the best you can with limited resources. I won’t complain any more. 😁

@Wish I think it was actually the last CalProAm or the one before where Nate just lost the handle at 39.

Ya but it’s not like Nate set an easy score to beat. Didn’t exactly leave the door open.

Man. Hard to stay focused on this. I would have thought video would be the thing missed most. The dead silence on the announcing is really the killer.

Man! This is like watching Wade vs Andy with the infamous runoff on the Pro Tour!

I was fortunate enough to boat judge open men in Greg’s boat. Fantastic skiing. One thing that may not have made it through the webcast but was great to see: after Tgas beat Nate, Nate skied back to the dock and as he passed Tgas who was floating where he fell Nate skied past him and gave him a “low five” in congrats. It was cool to see. And yes, a huge moment for Tgas, great skiing.

I think maybe the bigger upset than Tgas beating Smith is that Tgas was 8th seed in the 1st place. Smith did leave the door open (by Smith standards anyway.) While everyone else was skiing up to 3-4 at 41, didn't smith run 41 in both earlier rounds?

Having the end course camera straight down the boat path could have opened the door for a lot of ballers to criticize the boat paths.

NOT A CHANCE!! Will and Greg were dead on……Top notch driving guys!!!

Will and Greg were constantly monitoring boat path to ensure the ride was as close as possible in both boats. Both Will and Greg were pleased with their driving as well as how similar the ride will have felt to the skiers.

Pretty sure Rob H punched his card that says he can hang with the best of the best any given weekend. Amazing determination. Congrats to Freddy.
