Chest Zip Wetsuits

I am looking for a new full wetsuit for my son to use this spring. The chest zip wetsuits look intriguing and surfers seem to really like them for their flexibility. Does anyone have any experience with wearing a chest zip wetsuit with a life jacket? Does the zipper make that an uncomfortable combination?

I love my o’neil hyperfreak. I’ve worn it with both my comp and USCG vests and never noticed the zipper.

I’ve had the rip curl flashbomb in both zippered and zipper free chest entry suits - they work great, no issues with the lifejacket.
