Hole patterns

Is there a good reference chart for the various hole patterns? Specifically, will Radar Strada boots (with double mounts) fit a D3 with the D3 hole pattern?

Or HO or Obrien or Connally??? Someone should post hole patterns that could be printed in some way.

FWIW, I have Strada sequence plate on a D3. I believe the sequence plate can fit D3, Strada, HO.

Based upon their offerings, it appears that nearly all current skis have a consistent front binding hole pattern.
There appear to be two standards for the rear binding: D3/Connelly vs. HO/O'Brien/Radar.

You got it. ALL front bindings are interchangeable.
The stock D3 and Connelly back bindings do not fit most other skis. Some skis come with both sets of back binding holes (Elite and Razor are examples). D3 will ship a ski or a binding with their standard or the other pattern. So if you order D3 call the factory and tell them exactly what you need and you are good.

Warning about Wiley brand bindings, their front pattern “fits” all skis but you may not be able to adjust it back far enough. As an example the front binding on a Razor 68” should be at 29 ½. With a Wiley front, the furthest you can move back is 29 ¾ (these are rough numbers from memory).

The reason is …. The pattern for front bindings has been standard for a long time but the relationship between the plate holes and your foot has shifted. On a Radar, D3 or HO binding your heel is farther back on the plate (in relation to the mounting holess ) than on a Wiley. Since we measure from behind our heel…. That is the breakdown.

    This crap can be confusing

Radar single plate (sequence plate) fits EVERYTHING. Another reason why I am a fanboy for the Strada bindings.

New Radar feather light girls bindings only fits D3/ Connelly pattern. I think the new mid range Radars use this pattern.
I have totally complained to Radar about this. I understand why they did this but it fuels the confusion.

The new Hyperfreaks got me from 28 to 30 mph. Imagine what a new ski can do for me.

    Clint,
Back away from the keyboard. Do not buy a new ski. You are on the right ski. Go get some gloves or something....

The ski he is looking at is a great ski at a good price (2007 Nomad RC)....I know, its mine :)....no biggy though; listen to Horton, if he is telling you to stay on what you got; then you probably should.

As much as it pains me, John is right, and he's seen me ski. For future reference, the Strada boots (both the single and double plate) fit both the D3 and HO pattern. The Nomad RC is priced right. Hope you can move it quickly.

Good luck with your skiing and at least we both learned something.

Was hoping to get this thread revived for a quick question.

Does anyone know what other skis my HO Basis bindings will fit? I had planned on purchasing another HO ski one day, but if my expensive boots (which I love) will fit another ski, it would allow me to look at more options.

    Thanks

@crashman Zach at N3 emailed me about the skis. Great price but unfortunately they only have the 64.5's and 65.5's. He said they were all out of the 66.5's
