Engine drain plug help

The threads on my engine block drain plugs have karoaded till i can't replace the anti knock sensor on the right side. I tried a tap but the crap is hard as a rock. Any suggestions?

    Dude, call Super Dave -- he fixed his.

    You probably are using the wrong tap.

    Use anti-seize on them when fixed

    If its just corrosion, try something like Lime-Away. But yes it is pipe thread.

    it should be 1/4 pipe thread, use a sharp tap (not an old worn out one) and a little thread cutting oil

    1/4-18 pipe tap,try to clean up the first few threads with a dental pick or similar tool so you don't cross the threads.good luck
