I have often thought that there should be a time requirement from the 55's to the gates. Alot of judges have said so as well. Could be coming soon. With all the high powered boats this should be doable, even on short setups.
From what I notice it depends on where the skier pulls out in relation to the settling of the boat. If they pull right after engagement it is around 34.6 or 36.4 After it settles I would say a little less. I will look for you today.
@ShaneH have you tried easing the throttle in more slowly? I know at our site the divers who hammer it and just push the throttle all the way down the boat will be at a faster speed into the gates.
