front binding alignment

in Trick and Jump
Just got a new to me D3 Trick ski. Its a 2002 custom 454 and the original owner had some weird custom binding plate on the front. None of the holes line up with the standard D3 leverage binding plate. I can fill the holes with epoxy, but how to i find right location to mount my plate? All of the skis I've owned already had inserts in place or the bindings already on. Thanks!

    @dchristman should i install inserts for the front binding? on other skis i've just went right into the ski.

    I wouldn't bother. Slap that binding on, learn some tricks, and get excited about buying a newer ski with the inserts :)

    ... to help learn, go to youtube and search 'cory 0-5000'. I came across this when someone was asking about videos when I was down at Cory's last month. Cory didn't object when I told him about it, but I'm still not posting the direct link due to copyright concerns. When you get really excited about tricks, go ski with Cory!

    Now that's ironic.....I'm 90% sure this ski has Corey's signature on it from the 2002 Nationals telling the original owner "5000, Get it! 2002 Nationals, Corey Pickos"
    Its faded quite a bit but i can still make most of it out

    Awesome! Another strange connection... I was trying to get one of the guys I ski with to buy that ski on SIA so he could learn to trick, but you got to it first!
