Has any trick skier used a Bullet Release, found on internet under Order Your Bullet Release.
I'm not a trick skier, but I would rather use a rope release than something like this. The rope release can be released before any load, but this thing requires a load to break the pin. Also, no telling what kind of damage that thing on the end of the rope would do as its flying out of the boat. No thanks.

No way that should be used for tricks. It needs a big force to release depending on the pin selected.
Rope release all the way.
I'm Ancient. WTH do I know?
We tried a similar system back in the 70s called SafTPop. Terrible system. It never dinged my boat but I heard stories. Not sure how many injuries it saved (or caused) but I only used it a couple times.
The rules changed allowing a release operator and safety for toes was greatly enhanced.
Robbins release is similar to the rope release but more positive and easier to hold under big loads (toe steps). I get gaaked if the rope release is wrapped around the pylon but people have trouble holding me without a full wrap - so I prefer the Robbins.
Don't use a Bullet Release as the primary release for toe tricks.
